has anyone tried the "configurable toolboxes" that are kinda small but can snap together? (link provided for example)

http://cgi.ebay.com/Electronic-Lab-Kit-Components-Storage-Boxes-50-PCS-New-/150441830173?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item230708271d

I was thinking of getting that, plus some of the bigger rectangular boxes (they are the width of 3 of the square boxes), but wanted to know if anyone has used them and what they think of them and what each one would hold, like would one square box hold a resistor ( ----o---- ) without bending the ends and is it easy to get things out of (i have big fingers).

Thanks!

Those look a little to small for resistors and caps if you "have big fingers". They're less than an inch big! If I were you I'd look at those little "fishing tackle" boxes, more like plastic organizers with little separate compartments. Check out Walmart or Kmart as they have those plenty. I think (In my opinion) they would be easier to stow electronic components.
