Hi,
Can Nintendo DSi be made multi-regional as one can with a DVD Player? If so, How?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

as calebkraft said get an r4 but make sure its made for the dsi and not the ds, because the ds ones wil just not work on the dsi. i think the chips have been seized and taken after raids so they are not the most legal thing but playing roms for games you own is legal so its kind of a grey area. i have a chip for my ds but i've never really used it could not find enough good home brew games

I don't think so. The tools to allow you to do it by other means have become so cheap/easy, I doubt anyone is putting much effort there.

I've been told the best way is by getting an "R4" and just downloading roms. I'm not sure what the legal status is with all of that though, so proceed at your own risk.

The legal status is "dodgy as hell" :p Nintendo are currently taking all the flashcard retailers to court.

The short answer to the question is no. It may be possible in time but it'll probably involve playing cat & mouse like we do with the Wii and HBC.
