How to read XML ?
I've been thinking for a while now of catalouging all my books but was a bit daunted by the sheer amount of data I would have to enter. But today I discovered Google Books http://books.google.com
Which looks to be a very easy way of creating an online database.
Scan the ISBNs in using a barcode reader and it goes away and pulls the rest of the info in including date, author, title, publisher etc.
All I then need is a way to then export that data. If it was a CSV output I'd know what to do with it but it's only output option seems to be XML and I'm not sure how to get that into an easily human readable format. Any advice advice gratefully received (I'm a hardware guy, I know nothing about databases etc)
