Looking for a SMALL 12v rechargeable battery pack.

I am looking for a very small 12v rechargeable battery pack. High mAh is not a must. I am using it to power a micro and some lasers/LED's etc.. in a custom enclosure. Would like it to fit in a 45mmX50mmX25mm space. If possible not to costly ;) college hackers are not rich hackers.
Thanks everyone!

Firstly, if you need exactly 12v then you need a power source about 10% above 12v at minimum, then you can bring that down to exactly the desired 12v using just 1 component. That is, a 12 volt regulator ic. These will cost 50 cents / $1. Part number: LM79L12

Then...
4 of these would fit inside the physical dimensions you mention, and provide 12v comfortably when run in serial:

Also 3.7 volts is common for a mobile phone battery. So you could use an old phone charger in the interests of being a povey student.

If you don't require exactly 12v, then a variety of rc heli / plane batteries are available that are close enough. Eg,

This particular one is 7mm too big in one direction but pretty close.

Let us know what you end up deciding on.

If you can tolerate a low current supply and some ripple just use a regular 3.7V lithium rechargeable and a boost converter to get the 12V. I've had success with the max1771 12V or Adjustable, High-Efficiency, Low IQ, Step-Up DC-DC Controller. What exactly are you making? What's the current draw? How much capacity do you expect from the battery?

All that stuff uses 5 volts or less. Why do you want 12?
