hmm, good question. I have so many good ones. Maybe my LPT port controlled 2way radio mod with knight rider comunication. using a xact wrist watch radio. Never really had it do anything usefull. I could say kitt into the watch and it would radio back "what is it michal?" with voice control more things probably could have been setup.

I attached a linksys router in my jeep. Using some tricks with ddwrt I made it auto-connect to any unprotected wifi so i could get internet in the city for free while I drove around.

My first and currently only hack is a little Altoids tin project that took power from a USB port (via Type-B connector) and sent it to a couple of alligator clips. It used lots of electrical tape and glue! (I'm out of solder) Take it easy on me, I'm only 11!

Either my rhythm-based combo lock (featured on hackaday), or my Teensy++-powered metronome and pitch reference, soon to be a chromatic tuner and personal audio monitor (work in progress).

The 3.5mm auxiliary input that I hacked in to my 02' Nissan Frontier stock radio. Used the schematic that came with the radios online datasheet. Retained all features of the radio w/ cd player, just has another switch to toggle the Aux. Next up, a solar powered boat built from scratch (hull and all) with power steering, sun tracking solar panels, a very high power geared motor that will be raced in a competition. And a budget of about $2500. Only about a week and a half till the d-day, so expect a submission soon ;)

will you use the hydraulic (non power-requiring) sun trackers?

Well right now we're using an arduino to control everything in the boat (Power steering is servo based, Digital readouts on dashboard, etc) so I just plan to use some photocells on the edges of the panels and have the arduino level the panel out (more servos). That hydraulic based system is really cool but i figured since we already have a computer on board why make things more complicated.

i made a little headphone adapter for my iphone 1st gen. desoldered a tiny headphone socket from a broken mp3 player, soldered three tiny wires to a headphone jack stripped of all the casing, and sealed it all up with epoxy into a little blob.take that apple and your crazy headphone socket designer!
